燕市というと、金属加工や食器の街というイメージがあります。
お隣の町ですが、三条市にはスノーピークやパール金属（キャプテンスタッグ）などの、アウトドア製品メーカーなどもありますね。
このあたり一帯、そんな地場産業から発展した地域であるということがわかります。
まずスタートは分水駅から。越後線はローカル線で、新潟から吉田駅まではそこそこ電車が走っているのですが、吉田駅から柏崎駅の間は2から3時間近く電車がない時間もあるのでご注意を。
さて話は戻り、分水駅をスタートします。名前の通り、大河津分水路が信濃川から分離して、海にそそぐポイントとなります。もともと、信濃川下流の新潟市の洪水を防ぐために人口手に掘られた分水路ですが、サイクリングロードが整備されていて、自転車乗りには楽しい場所です。
分水のポイントには信濃川大河津資料館や洗堰閘門などがあります。
大河津分水路を戻り、今度は北上をして、国上山、国上寺を目指します。越後野国一の寺ということもあり、かなりの規模があります。お隣が弥彦山ですので、このあたり一帯が進行の場所という感じです。国上寺は山の中腹にあり、150メートルくらいの高低差になります。国上山の標高は313メートルですので、その半分くらいは登ります。ただ、上る距離は２ｋｍもないくらいですので、押して歩けない距離ではないので、きつい場合は押してしまうのもいいかもしれません。DAHONK3の重さは8㎏を切るので、軽々と押して歩けます。
国上寺を出た後は、燕市産業資料館を目指します。山を一気に下った後、平坦な道ですので、すごく快適に感じます。燕市産業資料館にはギネス認定の世界最大のスプーンとフォークがあります。
燕市産業資料館を後にして、新潟方面に向かうので、吉田駅に向かいます。弥彦線の燕駅や燕三条駅の方が近いですが、各駅停車で新潟駅に向かうには弥彦線の電車の本数や、乗り換えの接続を考えると、吉田駅がベストです。新幹線の場合は、燕三条駅一択になります。

In the neighboring town, Sanjo City also has outdoor product manufacturers such as Snow Peak and Pearl Metal (Captain Stag).
You can see that the area around here has developed from such a local industry.
First of all, start from Bunsui station. The Echigo Line is a local line, and there are some trains running from Niigata to Yoshida Station, but please be aware that there are times when there are no trains between Yoshida Station and Kashiwazaki Station for nearly two to three hours.
Now back to the story, we will start at Bunsui Station. As the name suggests, the Okawazu diversion channel separates from the Shinano River and is a point that pours into the sea. Originally, it was a diversion channel dug by the population to prevent flooding in Niigata City, which is located downstream of the Shinano River, but it is a fun place for biking because of its well-developed cycling road.
The diversion points include the Shinanogawa Okawazu Museum and the Washui Lock.
After returning to the Okawazu diversion channel, head north to Kugamiyama and Kokujoji. It is the largest temple in Echigo Noguni, so it is quite large. The neighbor is Mt. Yahiko, so it feels like the area around here is the place of progress. Kokujoji is located on the mountainside and has a height difference of about 150 meters. Kugamiyama is 313 meters above sea level, so you can climb about half of it. However, since the climbing distance is less than 2 km, it is not a distance that you can not push and walk, so it may be good to push it if it is tight. DAHONK3 weighs less than 8 kg, so you can easily push it and walk.
After leaving Kugami-ji Temple, we will aim for the Tsubame City Industrial Museum. After going down the mountain at once, the road is flat, so it feels very comfortable. The Tsubame Industrial Materials Museum has the world's largest Guinness-certified spoons and forks.
After leaving Tsubame Industrial Materials Museum, head toward Niigata, so head to Yoshida Station. Tsubame Station and Tsubamesanjo Station on the Yahiko Line are closer, but considering the number of trains on the Yahiko Line and the connection of transfers, Yoshida Station is the best way to get to Niigata Station at each station. For the Shinkansen, you can choose Tsubamesanjo Station.
