仙台市にある日和山。標高は３ｍと日本で一番低い山になります。日本で一番低い山といえば天保山でしたが、2011年の震災により日和山が最低になりました。日和山からは仙台港をかすめて、多賀城市にある東北歴史博物館に向かいます。多賀城は国府が置かれた場所であり、国府多賀城跡や陸奥総社宮など、歴史ある場所が点在します。多賀城歴史地区を過ぎ、陸奥の国一の宮の塩竃神社へ。階段はきついですが、一宮だけあり立派な神社です。塩竃を過ぎると、松島地区へ。車だとあっという間に過ぎてしまいますが、自転車だとのんびり景色を楽しむことができます。多少のアップダウンと風はきついですが。松島を過ぎて石巻に向かうため、高城町の駅から電車に乗りました。松島までは仙石線が便利ですが、仙台石巻ラインの止まるお隣の高城町の駅も便利かもしれませんね。

Mt. Hiyori in Sendai. The altitude is 3m, which is the lowest mountain in Japan. The lowest mountain in Japan was Mt. Tenpo, but due to the 2011 earthquake, Mt. Hiyori became the lowest. From Mt. Hiwa, grab Sendai Port and head to the Tohoku History Museum in Tagajo City. Tagajo is the place where Kokufu is located, and is dotted with historical places such as the ruins of Kokufu Tagajo and Mutsu Soshanomiya. After passing the historical district of Tagajo, head to Shiogama Shrine, the No. 1 shrine in Mutsu. The stairs are tight, but there is only Ichinomiya and it is a magnificent shrine. After passing the salt, you will reach the Matsushima area. If you use a car, it will pass in a blink of an eye, but if you use a bicycle, you can enjoy the scenery leisurely. There are some ups and downs and the wind is tight. I took a train from Takagimachi station to go past Matsushima and head for Ishinomaki. The Senseki Line is convenient to reach Matsushima, but the Takagimachi station next to the Sendai Ishimaki Line may also be convenient.
