横田基地の一部がある福生市。基地の影響で、街の一部がアメリカンになっております。特に、国道16号線沿いのベースサイドストリートと呼ばれる一体は、アメリカンな雰囲気がある場所です。
福生を離れて、青梅の塩船観音寺へ。ツツジで有名な寺で、ツツジの時期は大変混み合います。実際かなり圧巻のツツジでした。

Leave Fukuo and head to Oume's Shiofune Kannonji Temple. It is a temple famous for tsutsuji, and it is very crowded during the tsutsuji season. In fact, it was a masterpiece of tsutsuji.
