葛飾区、江戸川区、足立区の城東エリアの菖蒲園を回ります。自分は自宅から荒川サイクリングロードを使って往復したので70㎞超を走りましたが、堀切菖蒲園駅からスタートすれば30㎞足らずの距離で、4つの菖蒲園を回ることができます。スタートは堀切菖蒲園で、京成の駅にも堀切菖蒲園駅がある通り、有名な菖蒲園です。見物客も多いですが、こじんまりとした菖蒲園はよく管理が行き届いていて、様々な菖蒲を見ることができます。堀切菖蒲園から10㎞程移動して、小岩の小岩菖蒲園へ。江戸川の河川敷にある菖蒲園で京成線とのコラボが見どころです。江戸川サイクリングロードを7㎞ほど北上すると水元公園にたどり着きます。水元公園は大きな公園で、菖蒲園のほかにもいろいろな花が咲きますが、菖蒲の株数は2万を超え、都内では最大規模になります。水元公園から5㎞西へ行くと、しょうぶ公園になります。北綾瀬の駅に面している小さな公園ですが、文字通り菖蒲園があります。輪行の人は北綾瀬駅（または綾瀬駅まで行って）から電車になります。
We will go around the iris gardens in the Joto area of Katsushika Ward, Edogawa Ward, and Adachi Ward. I used the Arakawa Cycling Road to make a round trip from my home, so I ran over 70km, but if I started from Horikiri Shobuen Station, I could go around four iris gardens in less than 30km. The start is Horikiri Shobuen, and it is a famous iris garden as there is Horikiri Shobuen Station at Keisei Station. There are many visitors, but the small iris garden is well-managed and you can see various irises. Move about 10km from Horikiri Shobuen to Koiwa Koiwa Shobuen. The highlight is the collaboration with the Keisei Line at the iris garden on the riverbed of the Edo River. If you go north on the Edogawa Cycling Road for about 7 km, you will reach Mizumoto Park. Mizumoto Park is a large park, and in addition to the iris garden, various flowers bloom, but the number of irises exceeds 20,000, which is the largest in Tokyo. If you go 5 km west of Mizumoto Park, you will reach Shobu Park. Although it is a small park facing the Kita Ayase station, it literally has an iris garden. If you are traveling in a circle, take a train from Kita-Ayase Station (or go to Ayase Station).
