和歌山城を経由し、由緒ある神社でもある日前神宮・國懸神宮へ。日前神宮・國懸神宮から加太を経由して、沿岸を北上し、岬町へ。みさき公園から帰るルートです。走行距離は25㎞、走行時間2時間10分、合計時間は3時間45分の行程です。
和歌山城は和歌山市駅と和歌山駅のほぼ中間にあり、町のシンボル的な存在です。日前神宮・國懸神宮は日本書紀等にも出てくる由緒ある古い神社です。日前神宮・國懸神宮から加太までは電車も走っておりますが、自転車でもそこまで遠くないので、走りましょう。加太駅は友ヶ島へ向かうフェリーが出ているところでもありますが、自転車乗りとしては太平洋岸自転車道の終点の日があります。銚子から1400㎞の道のりの終点です。加太のエリアでの見どころは淡島神社と魚料理くらいでしょうか。加太から北上し大阪府に入るとみさき公園まではあと少しです。途中にあるのは道の駅とっとパーク小島くらいでした。
Via Wakayama Castle, head to Maeshima Jingu and Kunikake Jingu, which are also historic shrines. From Maejima Jingu and Kunikake Jingu, go north along the coast via Kada to Misaki-machi. This is the route to return from Misaki Park. The distance covered is 25 km, the travel time is 2 hours and 10 minutes, and the total time is 3 hours and 45 minutes.
Wakayama Castle is located almost halfway between Wakayamashi Station and Wakayama Station, and is a symbol of the town. Maeshima Jingu and Kunikake Jingu are historic old shrines that appear in the Nihon Shoki (Chronicles of Japan). There are trains running from Maejima Jingu Shrine and Kunikake Jingu Shrine to Kada, but it's not that far even by bicycle, so let's run. Kada Station is also where the ferry to Tomogashima departs, but as a cyclist, it is the final stop of the Taiheiyo-gan Bicycle Road. It is the end point of the 1400km road from Choshi. The highlights in the Kada area are Awashima Shrine and fish dishes. If you go north from Kada and enter Osaka Prefecture, it's a little further to Misaki Park. On the way, it was about roadside station Totto Park Kojima.
