仙台から新幹線で一駅、古川駅まで新幹線で向かい、陸羽東線に乗って池上駅へ。人気の道の駅「あ・ら伊達な道の駅」により、ポタリングスタート。岩出山にある有備館と岩出山城址により、加美町へ。加美町を抜けて、色麻町の愛宕山農業公園により、再度大崎市へ。古川の街を走り、帰りは古川駅から戻るルートです。JR東日本乗り放題1万円のキュンパスを使ったので、半額以下で回ることができました。およそ50㎞の道のりで5時間20分の継続時間でした。
From Sendai, take the Shinkansen one stop to Furukawa Station, then change to the Rikuuto Line to Ikegami Station. Start your pottering trip at the popular roadside station "A-ra Datena Roadside Station". Head to Kami-machi via Yubikan and the ruins of Iwadeyama Castle in Iwadeyama. Leave Kami-machi and head to Osaki City again via Atagoyama Agricultural Park in Iroma-cho. Ride through the town of Furukawa, then return from Furukawa Station. I used the JR East Kyun Pass, which offers unlimited rides for 10,000 yen, so I was able to get around for less than half the price. The trip was about 50 km and took 5 hours and 20 minutes.
まずは、陸羽東線の池上駅をスタートします。陸羽東線はかなりの閑散路線で本数も少ないのですが、意外と人はのっておりました。池上より山形側に行くと川渡温泉や、鳴子温泉峡など宮城でも屈指の観光地があるからでしょうか。宮城県内はそこそこ人が乗っている感じでした。
池上駅を出てすぐに「あ・ら・伊達の道の駅」があります。産直品の販売などで結構人気のある道の駅のようです。陸羽東線に並行して走る国道108号線をつかい、有備館駅へ。駅舎がすごく雰囲気がよく、この辺りでは観光地である有備館のすぐ前に駅があります。また、近くに岩出山城址と感覚ミュージアムがあったので寄ってみました。
First, we start from Ikegami Station on the Rikuu East Line. The Rikuu East Line is a fairly quiet line with few trains, but there were surprisingly many people on board. This may be because there are some of Miyagi's most popular tourist spots, such as Kawado Onsen and Naruko Onsenkyo, on the Yamagata side of Ikegami. There seemed to be a fair number of people on board within Miyagi Prefecture.
Just outside Ikegami Station is the "Ara-Date Roadside Station." It seems to be a fairly popular roadside station, selling local produce. We took National Route 108, which runs parallel to the Rikuu East Line, to Yubikan Station. The station building has a great atmosphere, and the station is located right in front of Yubikan, a tourist spot in the area. We also stopped by the Iwadeyama Castle ruins and the Kankaku Museum, which are nearby.
岩出山エリアからは国道457号線に入り加美町へ。お昼をとり、色麻町の愛宕山公園に寄りました。その後、カッパの伝説がある神社により、古川市街へ。
From the Iwadeyama area, we took National Route 457 and headed to Kami Town. We had lunch at Atagoyama Park in Iroma Town, then headed to Furukawa City, stopping off at a shrine with a kappa legend.
色麻町を出て、大崎市の三本木エリアを経て、古川に戻りました。三本木エリア、古川エリアにも道の駅があります。また時間があったので、スーパー銭湯に寄ったりもしました。
Leaving Iromacho, I passed through the Sanbongi area of Osaki City and returned to Furukawa. There are roadside stations in the Sanbongi and Furukawa areas. Since I had time, I also stopped by a super public bath.
大崎市は古川市、田尻町、三本木町、松山町、鹿島台町、岩出山町、鳴子町が合併してできた市で、面積も琵琶湖より大きな796㎢あります。今回は、歴史のある岩出町エリア、中心地である古川エリア、古川エリアの南の三本木エリアを回りました。鳴子温泉峡を除けば観光地という感じではありませんが、岩出山エリアなどは歴史的な雰囲気を醸し出しておりますし、古川エリアは古川経済圏の中心地として栄えております。わざわざ観光で行くかといわれると微妙ではりますが、自転車というアイテムでめぐると違った景色が見える場所でした。また、キュンパスを使うと東京駅から2時間程度で行けて、往復1万円とかなりお得でした。
Osaki City was formed by the merger of Furukawa City, Tajiri Town, Sanbongi Town, Matsuyama Town, Kashimadai Town, Iwadeyama Town, and Naruko Town, and has an area of 796 km2, which is larger than Lake Biwa. This time, I visited the historic Iwadecho area, the central Furukawa area, and the Sanbongi area south of the Furukawa area. Apart from Naruko Onsen Gorge, it doesn't feel like a tourist destination, but the Iwadeyama area has a historical atmosphere, and the Furukawa area is thriving as the center of the Furukawa economic zone. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there just for sightseeing, but if you go around with a bicycle, you can see a different view. Also, if you use Kyunpass, you can get there from Tokyo Station in about 2 hours, and it's quite a bargain at 10,000 yen round trip.
