市原市の中心駅である五井駅をスタートし、小湊鉄道沿いに進みます。途中のアート作品を見ながら、高滝湖へ。湖にある鳥居を眺め、神社に寄ったら、さらに南下をしチバニアンへ。チバニアンからの戻りは、都内へ出やすい茂原駅を選択。
Starting from Goi Station, the central station of Ichihara City, proceed along the Kominato Railway. On the way, you can see art works along the way to Lake Takataki. After admiring the torii gates at the lake and stopping by a shrine, you can continue south to Chibanian. On the way back from Chibanian, choose Mobara Station, which is an easy way to get to Tokyo.
五井駅をスタートし、小湊鉄道沿いに進みます。小湊鉄道の駅は木造駅舎が多く、どの駅も趣があります。上総牛久駅までは、住宅地が広がり、東京の郊外の景色が広がり明日。上総牛久駅を過ぎると、一気にローカルな景色になり、里山の景色が広がります。
また、上総川間駅にはスーツケースの壁、飯給駅には自然の中のトイレなどのアート作品があります。ただし、自然の中のトイレは女性用です。
Starting at Goi Station, proceed along the Kominato Railway. Many of the stations on the Kominato Railway are made of wood, and each station has its own unique charm. Until Kazusa-Ushiku Station, residential areas spread out and the scenery of the Tokyo suburbs spreads out before you. After Kazusa-Ushiku Station, the scenery suddenly becomes more local, with views of rural woodland spreading out before you.
There are also art pieces such as a suitcase wall at Kazusa-Kawama Station and a toilet in the middle of nature at Iitake Station. However, the toilet in the middle of nature is for women only.
高滝湖は観光地化されており、美術館、高滝湖の鳥居、高瀧神社などの見所があります。
Lake Takataki has been developed into a tourist destination, with attractions such as the art museum, the torii gates of the lake, and Takataki Shrine.
高滝湖を過ぎて、チバニアンは結構近くにあります。チバニアンは学術的には重要な地層ですが、観光地化はそれほど進んでおりません。
After passing Lake Takataki, the Chibanian is quite close by. The Chibanian is an important geological formation academically, but it has not yet become a tourist destination.
チバニアンからは、五井駅に戻る、木更津方面に出る、勝浦、大原駅に向かうなどがありますが、都心に戻りやすい茂原駅を目指しました。どの駅も遠いです。
From Chibanian, you can return to Goi Station, go to Kisarazu, or head to Katsuura or Ohara Station, but I headed for Mobara Station, which is the easiest way to get back to the city center. All of these stations are far away.
