グーグルマップで口コミの多い神社やお寺を探すのが好きです。それだけ、多くの人が訪れている場所なので、何かあるのではと期待もできますし、期待も裏切りません。
今回は、板橋区の東京大仏、杉並区の阿佐ヶ谷神明宮、大宮八幡宮に行ってみました。
I like to use Google Maps to search for shrines and temples with many reviews. Because so many people visit these places, I can expect there to be something interesting there, and it doesn't disappoint.
This time, I went to the Tokyo Great Buddha in Itabashi Ward, Asagaya Shinmei Shrine in Suginami Ward, and Omiya Hachiman Shrine.
まずは、東京大仏。都営三田線側からでも、東武東上線側からでもアプローチは簡単な場所になります。また、荒川サイクリングロードからも近くにあり、サイクリングのついでに寄るのもいいかもしれませんね。行ってみたら、こんな感じでした。大仏自体は新しいので、東大寺や鎌倉にあるような歴史は感じませんが、立派な大仏様が鎮座しておりました。
First, the Tokyo Great Buddha. It is easily accessible from either the Toei Mita Line or the Tobu Tojo Line. It is also close to the Arakawa Cycling Road, so it might be a good idea to stop by after a cycling trip. When I went there, it looked like this. The Great Buddha itself is new, so it doesn't feel as historic as those at Todaiji Temple or Kamakura, but it is a magnificent Buddha statue.
次に、阿佐ヶ谷神明宮。電車なら西高島平から巣鴨で乗り換え、新宿で乗換と非常に’面倒なのですが、自転車だとまっすぐ直線的になんかできます。東武東上線、西武池袋線、西武新宿線をまたいでいきます。阿佐ヶ谷神明宮は歴史ある立派な神社で、多くの参拝客がいました。
Next, Asagaya Shinmei Shrine. If you take the train, you have to change trains at Sugamo from Nishi-Takashimadaira and then Shinjuku, which is very troublesome, but if you go by bicycle, you can go in a straight line. You will cross the Tobu Tojo Line, Seibu Ikebukuro Line, and Seibu Shinjuku Line. Asagaya Shinmei Shrine is a historic and magnificent shrine, and there were many visitors.
次に大宮八幡宮。和田堀公園内にあり、多くの人がおりました。公園はちょっとレトロで、散策するにはいいところでした。
Next was Omiya Hachimangu Shrine. It is located in Wadabori Park and there were a lot of people there. The park has a bit of a retro feel and is a nice place to stroll around.
寺社巡りは定番で、楽しいものです。都心であっても緑が多く、季節の花を見ることができたりするので楽しいですね。
Visiting temples and shrines is a classic and fun activity. Even in the city, there is a lot of greenery and you can see seasonal flowers, so it's fun.
