岩手県北部から青森県南東部にかけて一戸町から九戸町まで、「四」を除いて8つの市町村があります。新幹線の駅がある、二戸をスタートし、少し南下して一戸の鳥越観音により、国道四号線沿いを主に走り、南部町の剣吉で国道104号線に入り、八戸市を目指します。八戸市の櫛引八幡宮にお参りをし、根城後によって、八戸市にステイ。おおよそ70㎞の道のりになりました。
From the northern part of Iwate Prefecture to the southeastern part of Aomori Prefecture, there are eight cities, towns, and villages, excluding the number four, from Ichinohe Town to Kunohe Town. Starting in Ninohe, where the Shinkansen station is located, we headed south a little, passing Torigoe Kannon Temple in Ichinohe, and then mainly traveled along National Route 4. At Kenkichi in Nanbu Town, we turned onto National Route 104 and headed for Hachinohe City. We visited Kushibiki Hachiman Shrine in Hachinohe City, and stayed in Hachinohe City after passing through Nejyogo. The journey was approximately 70 km.
二戸駅に降り立ち、鳥越観音を目指します。開山から1200年を超える歴史ある古寺です。二戸駅からそこそこ近いですが、馬淵川を越えると一戸町になります。御所野遺跡まで行くと時間が厳しかったので、鳥越観音のみで一戸町を後にします。
I got off at Ninohe Station and headed for Torigoe Kannon Temple. It is an ancient temple with a history of over 1,200 years since its founding. It is fairly close to Ninohe Station, but once you cross the Mabechi River you will be in Ichinohe Town. Since it would have taken too long to go to the Goshono ruins, I left Ichinohe Town only after visiting Torigoe Kannon Temple.
再度、二戸市に戻り九戸城址、金田一温泉などを通り、県境を越えて、青森県三戸町に入ります。途中、男神岩・女神岩を見ることができます。
Returning to Ninohe City, you will pass the ruins of Kunohe Castle, Kindaichi Onsen, and other places, before crossing the prefectural border and entering Sannohe Town in Aomori Prefecture. Along the way, you can see the Otokogami Rock and Megami Rock.
特に何もないのですが、青い森鉄道と、IGR岩手銀河鉄道の境界駅である目時駅により、三戸町の中心地に向かいます。境界駅というだけで自分はちょっとテンション上がります。二戸市にはなぜか九戸城址ですが、三戸町は三戸城跡城山公園と、三戸の地名が入っております。小さいながらも、きれいな街です。また、絵本の11匹の猫の作者の出身地らしく、11匹の猫の像があります。時間があれば、コンプリートしたかったです。
There's nothing special here, but I headed to the center of Sannohe Town via Metoki Station, which is the boundary station between the Aoimori Railway and the IGR Iwate Galaxy Railway. Just being a boundary station gets me a little excited. For some reason, Ninohe City is home to the ruins of Kunohe Castle, but Sannohe Town has Sannohe Castle Ruins Shiroyama Park, which includes the place name Sannohe. It's a small but beautiful town. Also, it's apparently the birthplace of the author of the picture book "11 Cats," and there are statues of 11 cats. If I had time, I would have liked to see them all.
三戸町を後にし、南部町に入ります。南部町の一部が昔の四戸にあたる場所らしいですが、現在四戸の地名はありません。剣吉の交差点で国道4号線に別れをつげ、国道104号線に入ります。南部の国一の宮である櫛引八幡宮にお参りをし、根城跡に寄りました。この辺りは、どの町にも城跡があるというのが感想です。
Leaving Sannohe Town behind, we entered Nanbu Town. It seems that part of Nanbu Town was the old Yonhe area, but there is no place called Yonhe today. We left National Route 4 at the Kenkichi intersection and entered National Route 104. We visited Kushibiki Hachiman Shrine, the number one shrine in Nanbu, and stopped by the ruins of Nejo Castle. It seems like every town in this area has castle ruins.
