Boardwalk i5の2017年版を中古で入手しました。当時の販売価格は66,000円らしいっす。保存状態かなり良好でおよそ3万円。タイヤは減ってはいないけれど、8年前のものなので経年劣化は心配ですが、それ以外はほぼ使っていない逸品。購入した理由はオプションのバスケット付き、チェーンカバーがあることの2点。
I bought a used 2017 Boardwalk i5. Its original retail price was apparently 66,000 yen. It's in pretty good condition and is worth about 30,000 yen. The tires aren't worn out, but it's eight years old, so I'm a bit worried about aging. Other than that, it's a rare bike that I've barely used. The reason I bought it was because it came with the optional basket and chain cover.
全体のシルエットはこんな感じです。2025年だとバスケットだけで7,480円しますので、状態がよく、かご付きなのに3万円というのはお買い得な感じでした。
The overall silhouette is something like this. In 2025, the basket alone would cost 7,480 yen, so it was in good condition and included a basket for 30,000 yen, which seemed like a bargain.
透明なプラスチックのチェーンカバーがあるのがポイント。DAHONでチェーンカバーがあるのは現在のモデルではないので、かなり貴重です。また、内装ギアを装備しているモデルはCurli4だけでしょうか。泥除けもあるので、普段着でも乗れるのが大きいです。
ViscEvoやK3はチェーンカバーがないので、注意しないとパンツの裾は汚れますし、泥除けがないので、かなり汚れます。
A key feature is the clear plastic chain cover. No current DAHON models have a chain cover, so this is quite rare. The Curli4 is also the only model equipped with internal gears. It also has mudguards, so it's great that you can ride it in your everyday clothes.
The ViscEvo and K3 do not have a chain cover, so if you're not careful the bottom of your pants will get dirty, and without mudguards they get very dirty.
