伊那市から、南箕輪村の大芝公園を経由して、赤そばの里により、国道153号を通り塩尻に向かいます。途中に、信濃二之宮矢彦神社でお参りしました。道の駅小坂田公園で昼休憩をとり、牛伏寺までヒルクライム。その後、松本に向けて、一気に走ります。松本市内にはいり、松本市立美術館、開智学校、松本城により松本駅より輪行で戻りました。
From Ina City, we passed through Oshiba Park in Minamiminowa Village, passed through Akasoba Village, and headed towards Shiojiri via National Route 153. Along the way, we visited Shinano Ninomiya Yahiko Shrine. We took a lunch break at the roadside station Kosada Park, then climbed up the hill to Ushibushi Temple. After that, we headed straight for Matsumoto. We entered Matsumoto City, visited the Matsumoto City Museum of Art, Kaichi School, and Matsumoto Castle, and then returned from Matsumoto Station by bicycle.
伊那市をスタートし、道の駅信州大芝公園に向かいます。信州大芝公園は、整備された大きな公園でした。池もあり、軽く散策するにはいい感じだと思います。そこから、赤そばの里に向かいました。ちょうど赤そばの花が見ごろの時期でした。
We started from Ina City and headed towards the Shinshu Oshiba Park Roadside Station. Shinshu Oshiba Park was a large, well-maintained park. There was also a pond, so it was a nice place for a short stroll. From there, we headed towards Akasoba Village. It was the perfect time for the Akasoba flowers to bloom.
赤そばの里を後にし、国道153号線で塩尻に向かいます。中央線の視線と並走する形になります。途中に矢彦神社と小野神社があります。隣り合っておりますが、矢彦神社は辰野町、小野神社は塩尻市になり、市町境になります。ここまで、緩やかな登りで峠を越える感じになり、塩尻市方面に向けて、ここから下る感じです。
Leaving Akasoba no Sato behind, we head towards Shiojiri on National Route 153. We will be running parallel to the Chuo Line. Along the way we will come across Yahiko Shrine and Ono Shrine. They are next to each other, but Yahiko Shrine is in Tatsuno Town and Ono Shrine is in Shiojiri City, marking the city-town border. Up to this point, it's a gentle climb that feels like crossing a mountain pass, and from here we will descend towards Shiojiri City.
そこから、牛伏寺までは一度下った後登る感じになります。特に、残り1キロくらいはかなり厳しい登りでした。また、牛伏寺の先に牛伏川フランス式階段工というのがあったので寄ってみました。
From there, it's a bit of a descent and then an ascent to Ushibushi-ji Temple. The last kilometer or so was a particularly tough climb. Also, beyond Ushibushi-ji Temple, I stopped by the Ushibushi River French-style staircase.
牛伏寺から松本市までは、気持ちの良いダウンヒルです。フォトジェニックな松本市立美術館により、国宝に指定された開智学校、街のシンボルの松本城により、松本駅から戻りました。トータル72㎞でした。
It was a pleasant downhill ride from Ushibushi Temple to Matsumoto City. I passed the photogenic Matsumoto City Museum of Art, Kaichi School, a designated national treasure, and Matsumoto Castle, the symbol of the city, before returning from Matsumoto Station. The total distance was 72km.
