長いタイトルですが、まさにその通りの内容になります。
新幹線で米原駅を出て、近くの青岸寺にお参りします。庭が有名な古刹です。
米原市内を北上し、長浜方面へ。途中懸け造りの建物である、岩屋善光堂を通り、長浜市内へ。黒壁スクエアなど、多くの観光客でにぎわうエリアを抜け、長浜城から琵琶湖サイクリングロードに入ります。奥琵琶湖パークウェイは逆そうになるためパス、海津大崎は時間がないためパスをし、高島市のメタセコイア並木に向かいます。その後、国道303号線（鯖街道）を使い、熊川宿を経て、上中駅から輪行しました。
距離およそ83㎞です。
That's a long title, but it's exactly what it says.
I left Maibara Station by Shinkansen and visited nearby Seiganji Temple, an ancient temple famous for its garden.
I headed north through Maibara City towards Nagahama. Along the way, I passed Iwaya Zenkodo, a hanging-style building, before heading into Nagahama City. I passed areas bustling with tourists, including Kurokabe Square, and joined the Lake Biwa Cycling Road from Nagahama Castle. I skipped the Oku-Biwako Parkway because it's backwards, and Kaizu-Osaki because I didn't have time, instead heading for the Metasequoia Avenue in Takashima City. After that, I took National Route 303 (Saba Kaido), passed Kumagawa-juku, and packed my bike from Kaminaka Station.
The distance is approximately 83 km.
米原駅を出て、青岸寺は歩いても行けるくらいの距離。お寺の呼び鈴を鳴らすと人が出てきて、拝観料を収めるシステムです。紅葉と、庭が素敵なお寺でした。長浜方面に向かい、懸け造り建築の岩屋善光堂の前を通りました。新しい感じの建物なので、意外とモダンです。
長浜市に入り、黒壁スクエア、長浜鉄道スクエア、長浜城などの観光地を巡ります。琵琶湖東岸は、ものすごく平坦という感じです。
Leaving Maibara Station, Seiganji Temple is within walking distance. When you ring the temple bell, someone will come out and you can pay the admission fee. The temple is beautiful with its autumn leaves and garden. Heading towards Nagahama, we passed in front of Iwaya Zenkodo, a hanging-style building. It's a new-looking building, so it's surprisingly modern.
Entering Nagahama city, we visited tourist spots such as Kurokabe Square, Nagahama Railway Square, and Nagahama Castle. The eastern shore of Lake Biwa is extremely flat.

長浜城付近から、琵琶湖サイクリングロードに入ります。快適なサイクリングを楽しめます。
Near Nagahama Castle, you will enter the Lake Biwa Cycling Road, where you can enjoy a comfortable cycling experience.
メタセコイア並木は規模が大きく、観光客もたくさんいました。The Metasequoia Avenue was large and crowded with tourists.
国道303号線に入り、小浜方面に向かいます。県境の寒風山トンネルの標高は182ｍと意外と低く、福井県の嶺南地方（若狭地方）と滋賀県が昔同じ県だったというのがなんとなくわかります。結びつき的には、若狭地方は明らかに、福井市より滋賀県または、舞鶴市の方が強い感じを受けました。
We entered National Route 303 and headed towards Obama. The Kanpuzan Tunnel on the prefectural border is surprisingly low at 182m above sea level, and it somehow made me realize that Fukui Prefecture's Reinan region (Wakasa region) and Shiga Prefecture were once the same prefecture. In terms of connection, the Wakasa region clearly felt more strongly with Shiga Prefecture or Maizuru City than with Fukui City.
