阿南市をスタートし、22番平等寺を参拝します。その後、国道55号線を南下し、23番薬王寺を参拝。日和佐は、読売新聞社主催の新日本観光地100選も選ばれる観光名所で、日和佐城など、見所がたくさんある場所です。日和佐からは、南阿波サンライン経由で、牟岐へ向かいます。牟岐で出羽島にフェリーで向かい、再度戻ります。その後、甲浦方面へ走り、高知県に入ります。甲浦で1泊。距離は85㎞獲得標高は700mとそれなりに走りました。
Starting in Anan City, we visited temple number 22, Byodo-ji Temple. Afterwards, we headed south on National Route 55 and visited temple number 23, Yakuoji Temple. Hiwasa is a popular tourist spot selected as one of the New 100 Best Tourist Spots in Japan by the Yomiuri Shimbun, and is home to many attractions, including Hiwasa Castle. From Hiwasa, we headed to Mugi via the Minami Awa Sun Line. At Mugi, we took a ferry to Tebajima Island and returned again. Afterwards, we drove towards Konoura and entered Kochi Prefecture. We spent one night in kannoura. The distance was 85km and the elevation gain was 700m, so it was a fairly long ride.
阿南駅付近までは、人口密度も多く全国規模のチェーン店もよく見かけますが、阿南駅を過ぎたあたりから、急激に人口密度が下がります。平等寺あたりまでは、そこそこ住宅がある感じです。平等寺を越え、国道55号線を南西に向かうと、民家が減り、平地もほとんどなく、わずかな場所に住宅が密集するという感じです。日和佐はその中でも、大きな平地で、薬王院は1月1日の元日ということもあり、ものすごい人でにぎわっておりました。
Up until around Anan Station, the population density is high and you'll often see national chain stores, but once you pass the station, the population density drops off dramatically. There are a fair number of residential buildings up to Byodo-ji Temple. Once you pass Byodo-ji Temple and head southwest on National Route 55, the number of houses decreases, there is almost no flat land, and houses are crowded together in a small space. Hiwasa is one of the largest flat areas, and Yakuo-in Temple was incredibly crowded with people, as it was New Year's Day on January 1st.
日和佐から牟岐へは、南阿波サンライン経由で行きました。標高30m～150mくらいを登ったり下りたりと、海沿いの絶景を見ながらのサイクリングです。牟岐では、ちょうど出羽島行のフェリーに乗れたので、自転車も載せてわたってみました。国の重要伝統建造物群保存地区にも指定されております。走るところはほとんどないですが、フェリーに自転車を載せるとテンションが上がります。再度、牟岐に戻り甲浦方面へ国道55号線を南下します。DMVがいるかと思い、阿波海南文化村に寄ってみましたが、残念ながら見ることはできませんでした。甲浦で1泊し、本日は終了です。
I went from Hiwasa to Mugi via the Minami Awasan Line. I cycled while enjoying spectacular views of the sea, climbing and descending at altitudes of 30m to 150m. In Mugi, I happened to catch a ferry bound for Tebajima, so I took my bike across. The area is also designated as a nationally designated Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. There isn't much to ride, but loading my bike onto the ferry was exciting. I returned to Mugi and headed south on National Route 55 towards Kouura. I stopped by Awa Kainan Culture Village, hoping to find a DMV, but unfortunately I couldn't find one. I spent the night in Kannoura and called it a day.
