自転車乗りは大好きな渡良瀬遊水地。今回は、古河駅をスタートし、渡良瀬遊水地の西側を通り、ひたすら北上して岩船を目指します。岩船にある岩船山高勝寺により、アニメやドラマで出てくる岩船駅に寄り、佐野市にある唐澤山神社で猫と戯れて、佐野駅からの戻りです。距離は50㎞で4時間25分の継続時間でした。
The Watarase Reservoir is a favorite of cyclists. This time, I started from Koga Station, passed the west side of the Watarase Reservoir, and headed north to Iwafune. I stopped by Iwafune Station, which appears in anime and dramas, at Iwafuneyama Koshoji Temple in Iwafune, played with the cats at Karasawayama Shrine in Sano City, and returned from Sano Station. The distance was 50 km and the duration was 4 hours and 25 minutes.
スタートはJRの古河駅です。渡良瀬遊水地の最寄りではありませんが、東京からの直通列車も多く利便性が高いです。20分も走れば渡良瀬遊水地エリアにつきます。三県境を行けば、茨城県に加え、埼玉県、群馬県、栃木県の4県を制覇できます。
The starting point is JR Koga Station. Although it is not the closest station to the Watarase Reservoir, there are many direct trains from Tokyo, making it very convenient. You can reach the Watarase Reservoir area in just 20 minutes. If you go to the border of three prefectures, you can conquer four prefectures: Ibaraki, Saitama, Gunma, and Tochigi.
渡良瀬遊水地エリアを抜けて岩船山高勝寺へ。ハイキングコースにもなっている山なので、最後ものすごい坂になります。高低差は170ｍくらいですが、最後は10%を越えると思われる急坂でした。車も通る車道ですが、舗装がいまいちなので下りは気をつけましょう。
Go through the Watarase Reservoir area and head to Iwafuneyama Koshoji Temple. This mountain is also a hiking course, so the final slope is very steep. The difference in elevation is about 170m, but the final slope is a steep slope that seems to exceed 10%. It is a road that cars also use, but the pavement is not very good, so be careful when going downhill.
岩船を後にし、佐野市へ。見所が多い佐野市ですが、今回は猫神社としても有名な唐澤山神社へ。いったん平地まで下りた後の登り返し。やはり200ｍくらいの登りだとは思いますが、K3の登攀力ではかなりきついかったです。唐澤山神社では地域猫として猫を飼ってる感じで、結構な数な猫がいました。
Leaving Iwafune behind, we headed to Sano City. Sano City has many things to see, but this time we went to Karasawayama Shrine, which is also famous as a cat shrine. After descending to flat ground, we climbed back up. I think it was about a 200m climb, but it was quite tough for K3's climbing ability. Karasawayama Shrine seemed to keep cats as local residents, and there were quite a few of them.
