君津駅をスタートし、マザー牧場の前を通り、鹿野山へ。再度君津市内へくだり、木更津市の沿岸部を通り、袖ケ浦市の袖ケ浦海浜公園を目指します。最後は、袖ケ浦駅からの帰りです。距離はおよそ60㎞です。
Starting from Kimitsu Station, we pass in front of Mother Farm and head to Mt. Kano. We go down into Kimitsu City again, pass the coastal area of Kisarazu City, and head for Sodegaura Seaside Park in Sodegaura City. Finally, we return from Sodegaura Station. The distance is about 60 km.
君津駅からマザー牧場までは、市街地を抜けると山道になります。千葉県は標高500ｍを越える山がないため、日本で最も平らな件という人がおりますが、ほとんと山地といって過言ではありません。ただ、傾斜的にはきつくはなく、マザー牧場までは楽しいの上り坂という感じです。マザー牧場を過ぎると、登りは少なくなり、鹿野山神野寺が最高点になります。
From Kimitsu Station to Mother Farm, you will pass through the city and then enter the mountains. Some people say that Chiba Prefecture is the flattest prefecture in Japan because there are no mountains over 500m above sea level, but it is no exaggeration to say that it is mostly mountainous. However, the slope is not steep, and it is a fun uphill climb to Mother Farm. After Mother Farm, the climb becomes less steep, and Shikanoyama Jinnoji Temple is the highest point.
神野寺から、一気に下り、再度君津市内に戻った後、木更津を目指します。遠回りになりますが、木更津マリーナ、鳥居崎海浜公園等を回りました。また、アウトレットにも立ち寄りました。
From Jinnoji Temple, we went downhill and returned to Kimitsu City, then headed for Kisarazu. It was a long detour, but we visited Kisarazu Marina, Toriizaki Seaside Park, and other places. We also stopped by an outlet mall.
袖ケ浦市に入り、袖ケ浦海浜公園を目指します。千葉のカリフォルニア。「チバフォルニア」とも呼ばれる場所で、違法駐車がニュースになり、いたるところに’駐車禁止の看板がありました。確かに、南国っぽい木が植わっておりますが、そこまでカリフォルニア感があるとは思えませんでした。
We entered Sodegaura City and headed for Sodegaura Seaside Park. California of Chiba. This place is also called "Chiba California", and illegal parking has been in the news, so there were no parking signs everywhere. There are certainly tropical trees planted here, but I didn't think it had that much of a California feel.
