中津川市から恵那市へ。中央線沿いを走れば大した距離ではありませんが、意外な絶景を楽しめる苗木城や、なぜかピラミッドのあるストーンミュージアム博石棺などを経由し、恵那峡を見て恵那駅に向かうルートです。距離にして40㎞、自転車をこぐ時間は2時間40分、観光時間を含めた合計時間は5時間15分でした。
まずはルートですが、中津川駅（近くのホテルにいました）→中山道中津川宿→北恵那鉄道線木曽川橋梁→苗木城跡→常盤座→ストーンミュージアム博石棺→恵那峡→中山道大井宿→恵那駅になります。
From Nakatsugawa City to Ena City. It's not a very long distance if you run along the Chuo Line, but it's a route to Ena Station after seeing Ena Gorge via Naegi Castle, where you can enjoy an unexpected view, and Stone Museum Expo Sarcophagus, which has a pyramid for some reason. The distance was 40 km, the bicycle riding time was 2 hours and 40 minutes, and the total time including sightseeing time was 5 hours and 15 minutes.
Nakatsugawa Station (I was at a nearby hotel) → Nakasendo Nakatsugawa-juku → Kita-Ena Railway Line Kisogawa Bridge → Naegi Castle Ruins → Tokiwaza → Stone Museum Expo Sarcophagus → Ena Gorge → Nakasendo Oi-juku → Ena Station
中津川駅から中津川宿まではすぐで、2，3分もあればつくと思います。ほかの中山道の宿場町のように街並みが残っているわけではありませんが、道路の形状や、案内板などから古い道であることはわかります。中津川宿を後に北上します。木曽川を渡るところで、北恵那鉄道木曽川橋梁が見えます。廃線跡というのはノスタルジーを感じるところです。さらに北上して苗木城へ跡へ。この辺りに城があったとは知らなかったのですが、立派な石垣と絶景が楽しめました。苗木城までは結構な登りになるので体力が削られました。
From Nakatsugawa Station to Nakatsugawa-shuku is very short, and I think it will take 2-3 minutes. It doesn't have the same townscape as other post towns on the Nakasendo, but you can tell from the shape of the road and the information boards that it is an old road. Go north after Nakatsugawa-shuku. At the point where you cross the Kiso River, you can see the Kitaena Railway Kisogawa Bridge. Abandoned railroad tracks are a place where you can feel nostalgia. Further north to the ruins of Naegi Castle. I didn't know there was a castle around here, but I enjoyed the splendid stone wall and the superb view. It was quite a climb up to Naegi Castle, so my physical strength was reduced.
苗木城からはアップダウンを経由して、常盤座へ。芝居小屋がこんなところにあるとは驚きでした。常盤座からはやっと下り基調になり、ストーンミュージアム博石館へ。この辺りは石の名産地らしく、立派な博物館になっております。ピラミッドは結構見ごたえがあります。
From Naegi Castle, go up and down to Tokiwaza. I was surprised to find a playhouse in such a place. From Tokiwaza, it finally started to descend, heading to the Stone Museum Hakusekikan. This area seems to be a famous stone production area, and has become a splendid museum. Pyramids are quite impressive.
ストーンミュージアム博石館から、恵那峡までは近いです。3月にはまだオープンしていない遊園地を右手に見ながら、恵那峡展望台へ。途中、立派な神社とお寺が見えたので立ち寄りました。天祐院、天祐稲荷だそうです。恵那峡大橋のたもとにある恵那峡展望台からは恵那峡を一望できました。恵那峡展望台を後にし、恵那峡アリアへ。3月でしたが、観光客はまずまずいました。恵那峡から恵那駅に向かう途中ですが、時間があったので大井宿に立ち寄り、恵那峡駅から輪行でした。
The Stone Museum Hakusekikan is close to Ena Gorge. While looking at the amusement park that has not yet opened in March on the right, head to the Enakyo Observatory. On the way, I saw a splendid shrine and temple, so I stopped by. Tenyuin Temple, Tenyuinari. From the Enakyo observatory at the foot of the Enakyo Bridge, you can see the Enakyo Gorge. After leaving Enakyo Observatory, head to Enakyo Aria. It was March, but the tourists were passable. I was on my way from Enakyo to Ena Station, but I had time, so I stopped by Oijuku and took a ride from Enakyo Station.
