スタートは知立市。JR東海道線が南の刈谷市や安城市を通っているので、関東人にはあまりなじみのない町ですが、名鉄本線と三河線が交わる交通の要衝で、東海道も知立市を通ります。まずは、1000年以上の歴史を持つ知立神社にお参りです。詳細はウェブサイト等でご確認を。この辺りは、知立神社の門前町、東海道の宿場町として栄えた古い町を感じることができます。

In this area, you can feel the old town that prospered as a temple town of Chiryu Shrine and a post town on the Tokaido.
知立市から刈谷市を越えて、高浜市へ。愛知県は瀬戸や常滑など焼き物の産地ですが、高浜市は瓦で有名らしく高浜やきものの里かわら美術館に寄りました。
From Chiryu City, cross Kariya City to Takahama City. Aichi Prefecture is a production area of pottery such as Seto and Tokoname, but Takahama City is famous for roof tiles, so I stopped by the Takahama Yakimono no Sato Kawara Art Museum.
高浜市から南に下り碧南市へ。碧南市は明石公園に遊園地があったり、臨海公園には水族館があったりとレジャー施設が豊富な街でした。そして、碧南緑地と対岸の半田緑地には、自転車・歩行者専用の海底通路があります。くれぐれも車道を通らないようにしてください。
Head south from Takahama City to Hekinan City. Hekinan City was a city rich in leisure facilities, such as an amusement park in Akashi Park and an aquarium in Rinkai Park. Hekinan Ryokuchi and Handa Ryokuchi on the opposite shore have undersea passages exclusively for bicycles and pedestrians. Please do not cross the roadway.
碧南市から、西尾市へ。西尾というとお茶が有名で、抹茶ミュージアム西条園和く和くがありますが、残念ながら予約をしていなかったのでパスをしました。次回は寄ってみたいと思います。そして、このコースのメインである三河工芸ガラス美術館へ。とにかく万華鏡の展示がすごかったです。小さな美術館ながら見ごたえはあります。
From Hekinan City to Nishio City. Nishio is famous for tea. I would like to stop by next time. Then, to the main attraction of this course, the Mikawa Glass Art Museum. Anyway, the kaleidoscope display was amazing. Although it is a small museum, it is worth seeing.
