皆さん大好き荒川サイクリングロード。その起点となるべき場所が、埼玉県比企郡滑川町にある森林公園になります。
森林公園は自転車道があるので、森林公園を目指すのもいいですが、隣の嵐山町にある、千年の苑はサイクリングで人気の場所ですので寄ってきました。季節によってポピーや、ラベンダーが咲き乱れます。荒川サイクリングロードから分岐した入間川サイクリングロード、越辺川サイクリングロード、都幾川サイクリングロードを使っていけるので、快適なロングコースのサイクリングロードを楽しめます。千年の苑から森林公園に向かい、荒川サイクリングロードに乗って戻ってきました。さいたま市からでも100㎞超、都内からだと150㎞くらいにはなりますが、スピードに乗りなかなか楽しいサイクリングとなりました。
Everyone loves Arakawa Cycling Road. The place that should be the starting point is the forest park in Namerikawa-cho, Hiki-gun, Saitama Prefecture.
The forest park has a bicycle path, so it would be nice to head for the forest park, but I stopped by the Millennium Garden in the neighboring Arashiyama-cho, which is a popular place for cycling. Depending on the season, poppies and lavender will bloom. You can use the Irumagawa Cycling Road, the Koshibegawa Cycling Road, and the Tokigawa Cycling Road, which branch from the Arakawa Cycling Road, so you can enjoy a comfortable long course cycling road. From the Millennium Garden, I headed for the forest park and returned on the Arakawa Cycling Road. It's over 100km from Saitama City, and about 150km from Tokyo, but it was a fun and fast ride.
