2023年の夏は猛暑。少しでも涼しいところに行きたいのでヒルクライム。今回は沼田駅からたんばらラベンダーパークを目指します。途中「天狗」で有名な迦葉山龍華寺（弥勒寺）により、たんばらラベンダーパークに向かいました。
たんばらラベンダーパークの標高は1300mくらいのため、平地より基本が約8度ほど低い感じです。25度くらいの最高気温で、30度行くのはかなり珍しいです。
距離はおよそ50㎞、移動時間3時間10分、合計時間5時間40分です。
The summer of 2023 will be extremely hot. I wanted to go somewhere as cool as possible, so I decided to do a hill climb. This time we will aim for Tambara Lavender Park from Numata Station. On the way, we stopped at Ryukaji Temple (Mirokuji Temple), famous for the Tengu, and then headed to Tambara Lavender Park.
The altitude of Tambara Lavender Park is about 1300m, so it feels like it's basically about 8 degrees lower than the flat ground. The maximum temperature is around 25 degrees, and it is quite rare for it to reach 30 degrees.
沼田駅の標高が約330m、弥勒寺の標高が約900mですので、高低差は約570mとなります。たんばら方面にひたすら北上し、弥勒寺への分岐までは緩やかな登りとなります。県道から一方通行の弥勒寺への道に入るとかなりの急傾斜となります。距離としては3.7㎞程度ですが280mくらい登ると思います。
途中大きな大山門があります。大山門を越えるとかなりの急登になります。坂を登りきると迦葉山龍華院（弥勒寺）に到着です。
The altitude of Numata Station is approximately 330m and the altitude of Mirokuji Temple is approximately 900m, so the difference in elevation is approximately 570m. The trail continues north toward Tambara, and there is a gentle climb until it branches off to Mirokuji Temple. When you enter the one-way road to Mirokuji Temple from the prefectural highway, it becomes quite steep. The distance is about 3.7km, but I think you will climb about 280m.
There is a large Daisanmon gate on the way. Once you cross the Daisenmon gate, it becomes a fairly steep climb. After climbing the slope, you will arrive at Kasabasan Ryukain Temple (Mirokuji Temple).
迦葉山龍華院（弥勒寺）からは下り坂で再度県道に戻ります。ひたすら北上します。せっかく900mまで稼いだ標高が760mくらいまで落ちます。たんばらラベンダーパークまでは10㎞くらい、標高500mくらいを登ります。途中滝などもあるので、休みながら行くといいと思います。ラベンダーは早咲きから遅咲までありますし、ラベンダー以外の花も咲いておりますので結構楽しめます。
From Kasabayama Ryukain (Mirokuji Temple), go downhill and return to the prefectural road. I'm heading north. The elevation that you have gained up to 900m will drop to about 760m. To get to Tambara Lavender Park, you will have to climb about 10km and climb about 500m above sea level. There are waterfalls along the way, so I think it's a good idea to take a break while you go. Lavender ranges from early blooming to late blooming, and flowers other than lavender are also blooming, so you can enjoy them quite a bit.
