2011年の震災の後復興サイクリングロードとして整備されたのがいわき七浜街道です。勿来駅から小名浜、塩屋埼等を経由して海沿いに久ノ浜まで続くサイクリングロードです。
今回は、湯元温泉に宿をとったため、湯元温泉から塩屋埼経由でサイクリングロードに入りました。終点の久ノ浜を越え、広野駅まで約45㎞の距離でした。
Iwaki Nanahama Kaido was developed as a recovery cycling road after the 2011 earthquake. This is a cycling road that runs from Nakoso Station along the coast to Kunohama via Onahama, Shioya Saki, etc.
This time, I stayed at Yumoto Onsen, so I entered the cycling road from Yumoto Onsen via Shioyasaki. It was about 45km from Kunohama, the last stop, to Hirono Station.
湯元温泉から塩屋埼までは、ちょっとした田舎の山道という感じです。
The path from Yumoto Onsen to Shioya Saki feels like a small rural mountain road.
Shioyasaki has a lighthouse and a monument with Hibari Misora's lyrics.

七浜海道に入ると、ずっと太平洋を見ながらの北上になります。途中、防災のためにかさ上げされた場所や、建物の再建築の具合で、津波がどれくらい押し寄せてきたのかを感じる場所もありました。
Once you enter the Nanahama Kaido, you will be heading north while looking at the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, there were places that had been raised for disaster prevention and buildings that had been rebuilt, so you could feel how hard the tsunami had hit.
